John Cleese

Back in 1991, when I was a student at Manchester, I did my thesis on Fawlty Towers. John Cleese was kind enough to do an interview for me and, given how busy he must have been, this was an incredibly kind thing to do. I think it’s the best interview he ever did on the subject.
His office had no objection to me uploading it here and, given that it fits completely with the remit of this podcast, I’ve done just that. Essential listening for anyone interested in the subject.
There’s one with Prunella Scales too, but unfortunately the sound quality is rubbish.

Prunella Scales was also kind enough to do an interview for me on the subject of Fawlty Towers and, again, it’s of relevance to any student of comedy, so here it is. I’m afraid the sound quality is terrible. Nothing I could do I’m afraid.
